Nick sets Monticello
Track Record
March 31 - April 1, 2006, Monticello,
FL - The new track at Monticello,
FL was the opening race for the new Easykart Championship Series
an the Montoya Cup. Nick once
again was piloting the new Easykart 100 for the Monticello Karting & Motor
Club as their sponsored driver. Times dropped dramatically from
the previous weeks local series race as the 100's dropped below
the 1 minute mark and into the 59's! Nick was obviously the quickest
kart on track all weekend but misfortune played a hand in qualifing
off pole both days (by .007 & .020) and two second place podium
finishes. Nick set the unoffical track record in Saturday practice
of 59.138, but the official time will stand as 59.173 set in Sunday's
prefinal race. Nick set fastest race lap in all heats and finals. |

2006 Season starts off "Easy"
January 13-15, 2006, Ocala, FL - The Ocala Gran Prix was the
site of round #1 of the 2006 Florida State Championship
Series. Rickert Racing unpacked a new Easykart 100 on Thursday,
broke it in on Friday and set it on pole on Saturday! Nick absolutely
loves the power and performance of the new Easykart 100 and Rickert
Racing loves the idea of a spec kart series....now it's up to the
driver to Git R Dun! Nick ran second in the prefinal and started
the final outside pole. At the drop of the green Nick dropped a wheel
off the track and had to lift for a moment given the eventual win
to Ryan Booth.
